There
are 3 hours of faculty-directed didactic lectures for the resident every
Wednesday morning. The
lectures follow the Basic Science Clinical Series and include lectures
on both the basic sciences and clinical ophthalmology.
There are regularly scheduled path slide conferences, contact
lens and low vision lectures. The
residents have also initiated a discussion and review of the major
ophthalmology studies. First
year residents also meet with the program director twice a month to
review the Basic Science Clinical Series.
